-Adoptions may be paid for withVisa or Mastercard through paypal or by personal check.

-Shipping is included with each adoption to anywhere in the U.S.

-Sheep adoptions last for one full year and can begin at any time.

-Adoptive parents have first option to readopt their ewe for another year.
-Occasionally animals get sick and when they do their wool may break which makes the fleece useless.  In cases such as this a similar quality and color of fleece will supply the fiber.

-Yearly shearing weight of Icelandic sheep is 4-7 pounds.  Icelandics are sheared twice per year to coincide with their natural wool break.  Icelandic fleece is dual coated.  The outer coat, the tog, grows 6-8 inches in six months and the soft downy inner coat, the thel, grows 2-4 inches in six months.  Compared to other breeds Icelandics produce very little lanolin so less weight is lost in processing.

-Additional fiber may be purchased to add/ blend with the fleece you will receive.  Please see our fleece page for details.

-The adopted sheep stay here on our farm, but scheduled visits to our farm to meet adopted sheep and learn more about them are always welcomed.
